Put me down for 1 vote for post of the day.
Good job , grandson and grandpa. X2! 3x. Love thes post. Those small fishing combos have 4 or 6 lb test line. Ok for pan fish but can get sketchy if they hook something bigger. Add in kids are learning and get hung up a lot putting Nick's in the line making it easier to break off. My solution when the kids were small was to replace tha line with 6lb diameter 20lb test spider wire.

... and if that’s you on the bench in the background, you have an impressive left forearm lol Yeah, that's me! Arms used to be a lot bigger and meatier than they are now, but I'm not 8 feet tall and bulletproof anymore either! Zim-I had to knock him down and wrestle my fishing glasses off of him when we were done. LOL Jbyrd-I am going to take your advice on that! Took my wife over to the landing for a little bit this afternoon and we came home with 11 nice ones. Really fun when the 'gills are in! Thanks, folks! Moosetrot
