I have a friend whose dad passed away. His dad was a logger. He has all kinds of wood burls that he had saved. Are they valuable? Where would you sell them at? Should he just burn them? This site is the only place I've seen people chat about wood burls. Thanks!

I'll ask about the type of wood and size. I don't think his dad would've kept them if he didn't think they were valuable. Thanks for all the help so far. I live in NW PA if anybody is interested.

Posco, I’d love to mill that tree! Burl can be valuable for all reasons mentioned above....and in Alaska it seems anything thought to have value is priceless lol...problem for those folk is there are few buyers. Alaskan Birch Burls have a real nice grain pattern to them !
