I bought this section (640 acres) from Weyerhaeuser a year and a half ago for $343,000. Sold timber from 100 acres for $290,000. So essentially I bought 640 acres for $53,000 or, about $83 per acre. The great thing is, there is still about $200,000 worth of merchantable timber on the property, plus a lake, trout, elk, deer, bear, cougar, etc, and good road access.

There are still good deals out there, it just takes a little work to find them.

I don’t know with me being 62 is it to late in life to buy some land and put a 800 ft cabin on it. I might be to old. MD
