At most auctions, all grades of goods are offered. If you look at the catalog on line, you will see the various grades and quantities.

They only post results for Section 1 goods, because it makes the sale average look better. Auction companies have been doing it that way for years.

Yes, they only report the good news, kinda like CNN when a Democrat is in office.

Don't play into them vague attention seeking posts. lol

They are talking about Groenwald's sale in Cambodia.

Is it an auction? If it is, would that not be irony?

I was told it will be an auction type sale. You'd have to check with Groney for specific details if he'll share them.

Will Groenwald Auction In Cambodia be all skinned and stretched fur or will it include tanned fur ? I heard there is some big tanneries being set up there. Cheap labor , no environmental issue to worry about with chemicals. I see some day Cambodia having a huge presence in the Tan fur industry. MD

I’m thinking the fur will be stretched/dried. The buyers will want to use their own tanneries.

There are also taxes and import fees on tanned fur, in many countries.

Yeah, I e-mailed FHA a question about a month ago, and no reply. Apparently, “the fire has gone out.”

No skunks at FHA's April sale but 5,000 grinners? Interesting...

Well If I was a buyer and attending groneys sale with all or most of the fur already tanned and I could see It. I think that would be a +. When buying green fur you don't know If It's going to slip or not. But being able to check out the fur and It's already tanned would seem a better deal. Then of course you If your buying green fur you have to transport It from the sale to your tannery and then have It shipped from the tannery to your manufacturing site.that would seem like a lot of extra work. When you can buy tanned fur and ship It directly to your manufacturing site.

How do you size and grade tanned fur as a the buyer? Not that you can't, but it would be a more difficult. Lot of pelts are graded on the color of the skin side. Everything is stretched a certain way for easy sizing. Tanned pelts tend to be bit wadded up and defects are less noticeable without a bit of a search. If they are tanned open it helps.

Looking at some of the pictures It looks like groney Is splitting coyotes hides up the belly and then drying them. I know he does that with all the green coon he buys do to the fact that's how he fleshes them.
I would assume that when the tannery tans a cased skinned animal that Is received fur out that hide Is re hydrated then turned fur In for the tanning process. Every cased skinned hide I ever got back from the tannery was received fur out. So thy must turn them back once It's tanned.
