I bought this disk at an auction for $55. It needed a tune up. I took it apart and lubed it. 1 side was siezed up. Seems fine now though. I'm anxious to try it. Some good deals to be had sometimes on the used market. I just need to ensure it's far enough back from my atv. I wish I could think of a way to raise it up if I want, but it's not too heavy so I can move it by hand (or set it on the trailer or tailgate if I have to). 'Seems like a good buy for $55. I guess I will find out this Spring.

Cut some boards to hold some cinder blocks for weight in that front area.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

What a steal! If hard ground might have to add some weight is all.

You could probably raise it with a ratchet strap to the rear rack. Or mount a rear winch if you want to be fancy.

That a good price and a bargain, food plot stuff that size is at a premium, I had one the same size but with my soil - I had better luck with a chain harrow drag. With the one I had, I added a set of tires and flipped the disc up for traveling down road or trails. If you have Sandy/Loamy soil and add cinder blocks on top you should be fine. I now use the Ground Hog Max Disc in plots where we can't get a tractor in. It utilizes the weight of the ATV to sink the disc, I leave (2) short treated 6x 6's in those plots for ramps, back the ATV , lower the disc and go and finish with harrow drag.

I borrowed one to try. It will probably work on worked up ground, but you cant put enoughweight on it to do new ground.

Just mount a trailer jack on it, then you can raise it up or lower it down and pull it without the disc dragging
