Opening day,Twins VS Brewers. Spring is here . Baseball opener and winter is over.61 opener for the Twins. As kids we were so exited to get a team of our home. I sure miss my baseball hero--Harmon Killebrew.
Go Twins.

Used to love day games when I was trapping spring beaver in NW Min. Had the game on as a drove my line.
Night games I had on when skinning. LOL,you can't beat Baseball and Beaver.

Great comeback win by the Crew. 6-5 in 10 innings. In situations like that Hader is golden.

I have been a Philadelphia Phillies fan since the 1950 Whiz Kid team. They beat the Braves in 10 innings today. Go Phillies.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Yes! Go Phillies!!

Well, not since the 1950 team, wasn’t alive for another 33 years, but I became a Phillies fan just as soon as I could.

I had numerous Kilebrew baseball cards in the 60’s ...when I was a young lad. Didn’t Jim Kaats ( Pitcher) play for the Twins too ?

When I lived in Philly .....and was in the 4 th grade, all us kids use to pitch baseball cards at recess. I had shoe boxes full of them ....guess I was good at pitching cards. Played “ Leaner” .....which was a game ,5-6 kids would fling cards at the base of the school building (Wall ) ,and the first guy to make his baseball card lean up against the wall....collected all the cards thrown. There were other games too....fun times ! Willy Mays, Don Drysdale, Jim Bunning, Killibrew, Marichall, that was in 1965 ( I know Iam just a young guy )... lol

Twins moved to Minnesota the year I turned 10. It was so great to have a team of our own and then we didn't have to root for the yankees.
Heres a good one for you .Former twins outfielder and now their radio announcer-Dan Gladden called me a few years ago and bought traps and trapping supplies from me.
You can imagine my surprise when I answered the phone--Is this Tom Olson, yes I answered--This is Danny Gladden. I asked if he was the former left fielder. He then asked if I was a baseball fan.I then said to him--didn't we get you from San Francisco in a trade? He laughed and replied--I guess you are a baseball fan.

Was busy moving hay and sheep so missed the game, but saw the wrap up. Nice to see the big guns, Yelich and Hader get things done. Hope this is a sign of a better season for the Brewers. Man the national league is really stacked this year. Some really, really good teams West and East, hope the central teams can compete.

You couldn't pay me to go to a major league base ball game. But my daughter was there for opening day.

I always had the Twin's game on when I was trapping or skinning beaver in the spring. Used to be a huge Twin's fan. Not anymore. I didnt watch or listen to a single inning last year after manager Baldelli came out wearing a Black Lives matter tee shirt opening day. Then players were kneeling during the anthem. BLM is a racist, Marxist, anti-american group. Now MLB moves the all star game because Georgia wants voter I.D.. I'm done with MLB, NBA, and NFL. At least there's still the NHL, at least for now. Those that died defending this country are rolling over in their graves. Martin Luther King too.
