Bankruptcies create options and new opportunities, look at Remington and the NRA. there is a lot of fur and fur market talent in and around the former NAFA so it would not surprise me if there was a new organization or even more than one if the market improves. Not much reason to be creating a new fur entity right now with limited volumes. Low prices make entry lower risk but low volume does not create the needed extra staffing, facilities etc.
Will be interesting to see how the fur industry regrows after the last down turn. Will it decentralize a bit more and put more smaller local and regional buyers or will things centralize even more with even more fur both ranch and wild going through a few funnels.

Sucks when you start an April Fools thread and nobody notices it's a joke.

Good one.
But I wish it was true actually. If they settled up with me I would try them again. FHA sucks pretty bad don't make any sense the way some of my fur graded and sold. Almost as bad as country Buyers for selling finished fur.. I almost always knew what to expect for my fur at North American...... until the unexpected happened

Well if you take the advance you will never worry about them stiffing you on the check like they did me but if they loaned you the money and then never sold them you would still be a debtor to them if they went out of business again. You think you lost money on trapping this year just wait til you ship to them and they don't give you an advance either. Try learning from others Dave. It will be cheaper for you. LLL
