Meat shouldn’t be cooked past medium. Unless it’s bear for trichinosis reasons!!

Just give the beef cow or venison a tour of the kitchen. No need to leave it on the heat past rare.



Same with wild duck or goose. Medium at best, cook to medium rare and let rest until medium.

Most jerky tastes good, even them nasty old rutting bucks provided you use enough salt and seasoning. This thread was about good aged-rare beef, not jerky. If you don't have some nice juicy red or maybe even pink beef pics to add, start your own jerky thread and quit trying to derail this one.

A steak that some airline folks made for you on a plane. There is zero other reason ever to use a plastic fork. I mean really, don't you folks in TX have the technical know how to little a point onto a stick and have to use plastic forks to eat with or are you taking classes in how to use cutlery at a table and they are not sure that you can be trusted with the real thing and still have your training wheels so as not to injure yourself ???? Plastic forks.....whatever next ???
