Got a text while I was at work... Figured it was the boss so I checked my phone. Nope, it was the wife... Pretty unusual for her to bother me while I'm at work so I opened it and read it.
Text said, "I just bought a box of Large Rifle primers for $39.99"
I thought, "Nice!"
Then it hit me...
I asked how many were in the "box" she bought... 1000?
She replied, "Nope, just 100"
I about fell off the ladder. Then I told her not to do that again.
I was so proud of her there for a minute. Poor thing... thought she had hit the jackpot

Given the ability to find them, it might be a jackpot They're out there, if you're willing to put up with highway robbery to get them. These were online. So hopefully that $40 includes the hazmat charge or I'm going to choke. LOL Mike

Good woman ya got Mike, most wouldn't buy them for a Nickle!
I wouldn't pay that, but when you consider factory ammo for a 30-06 is going for a buck fifty, that may be what we're going to pay for awhile. She's definitely better than I deserve. She just didn't know what "regular" price should have been. She's learning though. I griped about paying $50/1000 last fall for Remington 9.5M's... I'd gladly pay that now if it meant I could get some. Mike I found cci large rifle primers at academy in Yukon last Saturday. Between 3 of us we managed to get 600 because they only allowed 2 boxes per person. I believe they were $5.75 per 100. I will be working in Norman in a few weeks... I may slide over there one day after work and check 'em out. $6.00 - $10.00 has been the norm here if u can find them, 2 pack limit. I've got 4000-5000 on hand. One of the places around here would offer to sell you a sleeve of 100 if you bought a box of 100 bullets... That worked great for me since I shoot a box of 100 bullets up pretty quick. I could load up 100 rounds and shoot them and not reduce my stockpile. Mike

At least she knows what a primer is...my beautiful bride couldn't tell a flat of primers from a flat of tomatoes, bless her heart!
