Am I reading it right that mn residents can not trap in Wisconsin? I am fairly new to trapping but I suppose it is because MN doesn't allow non-resident trapping

Why dont they practice what they preach? Or do they support non resident trapping?

If you were from MN why would you want to trap anywhere else? Some of us would like to trap in other states! Not all of US Minnesota boys are against non resident trapping!

Its a hundred year old rule that has been challenged in court unsuccessfully. Those in this state opposed to it will see trapping outlawed before they allow nonresidents to trap here yes sir.....

Seems like it.
I'm going to be awful upset when my grandson comes of age and won't be able to actively trap with me someday because he lives in a different state.

It seems like reciprocity would be a good idea Sounds like where I work. “If it makes sense and is logical, it’s against policy. “

The old age crowd that votes against reciprocity will have to pass away before reciprocity can be brought into law. I worked many years to get reciprosity here in Wis. My first nonresident trappers ed student was from Alaska when law was passed.
