Typically we used to have 3 hour openings, and 9 hrs of fishing in the whole season in the gillnet fishery in Norton Sound. If you snooze you lose. Its very competitive too. SE.Current trapper S Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 189 Southeast, Alaska	Out of 50 some permits only 20 boats showed up this year. The herring are bigger than last two years. They are making bank. Shoulda went but I didn’t think it was gonna pop off like this
