Edward Snowden gets a new phone and takes it apart and un-solders the microphone from it then if he wants to make a call he plugs in ear buds.

Edward Snowden is a traitor. The first thing he did with the information he stole was to run to China and then it was off to Russia. Thinking Snowden is a patriot is just another example of how backwards the world is today. If he was a whistle blower neither he or the information should have left the US. He should be tried and executed not pardoned.

So you think the Chinese are our friends? You think the information Snowden gave the Chinese wasn't used against the US both overseas and domestically? You think US espionage methods and means provided by Snowden weren't used to burn agents overseas? That is what you consider being a patriot? If he wanted to alert the US populace that the US was spying on them he could have done that without burning down the house. Snowden could have been a whistle blower but he chose not to be. He ran to our main global competitors and handed them every secret he could get his hands on. Straight up traitor.

The good news is none of the spying has stopped criminal behavior.

Not sure about that. People just don't usually mail stuff anymore. Why spend $ for stamps when you can email it and it gets there faster?
