I'll die with mine before I let a politician make mind up for me to sell them. If you really need the money sell. If not hang on for the ride, I am!

Sell, however depending on your financial situation maybe a raffle for a couple of guns would be a good idea.
Maybe I'm off base with this but with the dwindling numbers of outdoorsman maybe having a raffle would help. If a member extends theirs or a new member would join an organization whether it's a state trapping or hunting association or your local sportsman's club with a membership for say 3 years they could get a raffle ticket for say $5 bucks. The regular price of the ticket could be $20 or $25. I'm sure some on here that have organized something like this could come up with an idea.
You could probably do that with the traps and other stuff you have as well. Traps right now aren't in high demand so I don't know what you'd come up with for that for a raffle,

Maybe it is because I live in Idaho but I can nearly always buy guns at a used gun shop or pawn shop for less than I can estate or auctions. Maybe there is something to people simply being "stupid" that is catching.

lots of people buying guns and the funny thing is that the majority of those people will turn them if if told they must. They think they are 'getting ready' but they will cave right in .....
I only have a few firearms but I can only use one at a time so I do not need many.

Yep auction or consignment is the way to go. My LGS only charges a 10% Fee on the total price. some auctions charge 20% for the seller and even a 20% fee to buyer if buyer is buying on Internet. Now that is crazy ! MD Thats actually cheap......its around 25-40% in my area of PA.

Some equipment sales just charge a buyers premium with no charge to the seller, but you have to have high dollar stuff in it.
