Looks like an old front fork of a springer front end off an old Harley. Those are the inner bottom springs.

330, you only have a piece of the front end. Maybe a restoration guy may be interested. I would sandblast it (gently).

Google vintage Harley dealers in your area first.
They could get you hooked up, or know someone who can.
And I'd at least wire wheel it and a light oil.

Oh, I saw that in ratbrains photo...just part

I wonder what year its from.

And I don't have access to a sandblasted but I can get a soft brass while wheel for my Grinder if that would work.

1948 was the last year H-D used a springer type front end on big-twins. I really don't know how long they produced them for the smaller 45 cu. in.
Wire wheel will work. That is what I used on my first Harley , that and naval jelly.

Leave them as is and let your buyer clean them as they see fit as they are pretty rough. If you don't clean them properly, you could destroy any real value they may have. Cool find but not worth alot since they repop new ones.

I was thinking that at first, if I was a collector and needed this part , I'd rather find one fsale this way then cleaned wrong. Or too much.

Sorry I stand corrected on this one!! I completely forgot the retro look Harley did putting springers back in production in more recent years.
