Did you remove the pollution stuff from engine?
I hear you need to if you want the motor to last more that 2-300k miles

My 02 gets up to 22mpg
My friend has a 2016, it gets 7 mpg on interstate

In 1998, I got a good deal on a 92 3/4 T Dodge with a nice Snoway plow. It had less than 30K miles on it and I gave $15,000 for it. It was my daily ride for about 12 years, then it became just my plow truck.

It now has 160,000 miles on it. Yesterday I was plowing the 20" of snow we got Saturday and Sunday (to prove that it was not yet Springtime here in Alaska...)

I cannot park it in the lot at Walmart when I stop in on the way home from a plowing gig without a guy or two coming up to me wanting to buy it!

I could not get for it... what it is worth to me.

They are bullet-proof.

Pete

I wanted to get a 2015, but the prices are 15+ thousand dollars more for the same truck,
I'll have to keep this one and keep fixing it, it's cheaper to repair than to replace it

Leftlane,

If it was Canadian Steel it would last...until not to long ago a load of Canadian Steel and or aluminium on a flat bed was considered a threat to US National security! So our steel must be mighty powerful stuff to be considered a threat to US National security don't you think?... just too funny... go ahead and keep buying steel and aluminium from China...

We searched for a year + to find the right one. Finally found a regular cab, one owner 2012 Cummins 2500,tuned, deleted, and a 6 speed SLT with 35K on it last year. Private owner and wanted 35K, got him down to 30 even on a quick cash deal. Never having owned a diesel before, the truck is incredible. More torque than you could ever need, and 22 mpg on the highway unloaded, and 14-15 pulling 10,000 pounds. This one is my sons, so I get the benefit of borrowing it when needed. The only issue is it is leveled, with 35 inch tires, and hard to get into being so high. Otherwise a great truck.

Sounds like a decent deal, manual transmission is the only one I want

Had one for 31 years.... A 90, 92 and 01 2500.... had a 03 3500 for 11 years. A lot of work has been done to the Dodge portion, very little to the Cummins.
