Is there any reason you cant spray foam a wood frame metal building?

Seen many wood framed metal building sprayed around here. Got a local fella that sprays the stuff so it is quite popular in the area. It is pricey, but worth the money in energy savings. Guy I work for sprayed the shop that we keep the work trucks and tools in, it stays above freezing with no heat source. I had an inch and half sprayed in my enclosed trailer that we use for a camper. Even on cold nights a little electric heater like folks use in a bathroom will run you out of the trailer. I have noticed at the summer trapping conventions it will stay cooler than a tent or trailer without the insulation.

I had a guy price it and yes it is expensive but I think it is worth it from what I hear. My brother and a friend both had it done on an all steel building and were happy with the results.

I recommend using some sort of house wrap before spray foaming. The day will come you may need to replace some steel and with house wrap, you won't have to deal with the foam sticking to the steel panels. Don't ask me how I know....
