Has anyone tried this new tool for eliminating your scent while deer hunting? I watched an ad on one of the sportsman channels. Saw elk within 10 yards supposedly down wind from the hunter unfazed by his presence.
I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

The science behind ozone killing scent is proven. I have no doubt it can kill scent on your clothing, in a ground blind, etc. But frankly, having an ozone producing unit in the outdoors with all the wind currents and expecting it to eliminate the chance of an animal smelling you, well, that's a little optimistic in my opinion. That's kind of what I was thinking too. Plus, this is a pretty spendy unit if it isn't effect out in the open. I've had decent luck using a cover scent such as skunk.

Your body constantly sheds dead skin cells and you can't cover your breathe. Save your money and always use the wind.

Never had a problem shooting whitetail with my bow without any kind of gimmick or cover scent. They got that elk up into 10 yards with it but without it I'd of shot it at 20 lol

I'd have to say they may have their place if you don't mind the hassle of using one. I'd also say play the wind, don't ever hunt a spot where the wind isn't right, period. I'd also tell a story when I was young and set my first 12 muskrat traps, caught 11 the first night, no bait, no lure. Now if I lured or baited those traps I'd swear by the bait or lure. Ditto on ozonics.
