The old Gamos weren’t too bad. I have a newer Gamo and it is terrible.

UMAREX has a Ruger 10/22 Air Rifle. I don't have one or use one but it looks good.

Don't waste your money on the Chinese junk.! All the box store shelf rifles are hit and miss garbage. Save your money and and get a quality Diana, weirauch, air arms or other comparable German, English made rifle. You will enjoy the accuracy.

I started into pcp guns with a Benjamin discovery. Very accurate and killed lots of squirrel and other game with it. Decided I liked it enough that I wanted to move up to something a little nicer. Bought an umarex gauntlet and am very pleased with it. Super accurate and very quiet, plus it has detachable 10 round magazine like a marauder does. I get about 60 full power shots on a fill up and that's usually plenty for a day of squirrel hunting if I do my part.

Go ahead and spend the money on a lower priced PCP. Trust me . Spent $500 on my Benjamin maximus ( came with a bun if stuff but pretty sure you can get the gun and pump cheaper nowadays) like four years ago and have yet to look back . Can shoot it just like a regular rifle non of that artillery hold stuff like with a springer. I get about 30 shots that I find acceptable till accuracy drops off. The pump is great excesise. That being said I highly highly highly suggest spending a extra $50 and get a TKO mod for it. Makes her whisper quiet. Also they can be picky with ammo so try a few different ones. I know mine prefers piranhas more than anything but it shoots ok with others . The pictured group is about a 25 yard 15 shot group shot prone off a bipod. Only complaint so far is it's got a leak and I need to fill it weekly to keep it ready for quick work but honestly that's about it
