Have you evah been passed on an Interstate Highway going 70 mph....by a Motorcyle doing a wheelie ??.... Yup...going to work this morning...this rice burner passes me by 3 car lengths....then drops it down a gear ...and does a wheelie for the next 1/2 mile ...passing cars and trucks......then still on his back wheel, gets off the exit ! ....I was like HECK YEAH !!!!!

Passing, no. But, I've witnessed it 3x going the other direction on the interstate. The first one had to be going 80-100 on a wheelie, I'm surprised I didn't go off the road looking over my left shoulder.

Brings back memories...when I airbrushed bike tanks and mural show vans and cahs, those bikers sometimes were so exuberant to be headed out of the shop with their brand new shiny "dew" art, they would exit the doors reared up for several blocks down the road . Always seen as a compliment .

Hey messy had that happen to me about 2 months ago and the dirt bike passed me on the shoulder doing a wheelie in the snow covered shoulder. I slowed down as I figured he'd wipe out but rode that wheelie a long ways and turn down a driveway.

Noticed a news story about a motorcycle daredevil type that passed the driving portion of his state mandated road test doing a wheelie the entire time! Amazing.

Witnessed a guy I used to ride with 30 yrs ago pass 8 cars and a motorhome on a two lane pop up, move into the oncoming lane, pass, and come back in to our lane. all while riding a wheelie one handed. To cap it off he went another 4 or miles like that. Man raced everything with wheels and was very talented rider. He also crashed everything with wheels too. It was very hard trying to keep up to him on that trip that we finally just picked different destinations for him to stop and wait for me if we got separated.

A few yrs. ago I was S. bound on I 87 Watched a distance wheelie going N. When I returned a short time later he was being Bagged & Tagged from the ledges that jumped in his way. End of a short life. Tut

I see something similar every summer. If you figure you only have one wheel on the road, that only gives you a few square inches of tire making contact with the pavement. Not much of a footing at 80+ mph.

Must be a NH thing?? was out there like 10 years ago?? for nieces wedding..Not sure even where we were but was on 6 lane doing maybe 70??.. I hear a zippy whine and two bikes go by maybe car length apart. Both are on back wheel only going who knows how fast. Disappeared some where up a head still on back wheel. I know couple guys can ride like that. Can say ever knew them to do it out on 4 lane..

Saw some fool doing that years ago when my kids were little, he went around a bend and out of sight, told the kids that guy was playing with his life..
few miles later he was laying in the middle of the road, and a cop was putting out road cones... passed him slow on my sons side of the car, he got a good look, and the lesson in-printed on him.
