It's nice to have various lengths, depending on the set. I often seem to end up with a slightly twisted mess in my truck, and I go to reach for 1 and it can be a pain to untangle it & get it outta the truck, let alone know how long it is. Just curious how you sort, label, & organize yours

Make them all the same length Just make them adjustable. Ron Marsh gave me this idea. Take a large washer drill two holes so they line up on one side of the washer. Now just run your cable through these two holes. You can place a stop button on that end of that cable but once that washer locks up on that cable your good to go. The large washer will be your staking point on the bank and the other end just use a slip noose. Coil up your extra cable and just leave It on the bank or let It lay In the water.

I remember Aix had an adjustable version that could possibly help you out. But anyhow seem to me that if you ran alot if cables out of truck you could get some of those 2gal buckets ( we sell em at lowes for like 1.48) and just write say 8' on one 10' on another ect with a sharpie. Coil you drowners up like snares and trow them in their assigned pails. Then stack the pails in side of each inter and use a Bungie cord of keep them in place.

I've also seen people color code them by spray painting their staked ends different colors so they can be identified while coiled. Once you build them you can just hit the ends with different colored pain for different lengths

If you just want to label various lengths colored electrical tape on one end of it. Put mine on the anchor end on all of mine.

Colored zip ties on the anchor end will last longer than paint or electrical tape. The adjustable ones would seem to be the best but I prefer drowning rods so not much help.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

My 10ft have an angle iron lock 15 have a swivel lock 20 have store bought lock 25 have combo snare end 30 are painted red on bank double stake end white for 40 blue for 50.Is it method for the madness or madness for the method.I have 10 thru 25 in separate 5 gal buckets and a little larger container on bottom for longer rigs.If the paint ever comes off the electrical tape sounds easier.

No reason I can think of to have different lengths. If the creek Is 6' wide and you have 10' cables just run your cable up or down stream to compensate for the added length. Or Use an adjustable set up.

10' " swim test " chain with angled conduit lock. Chain is easily adjustable with good brass dog snaps or add a links.

Something like this, 330? I've thought about using these. I wonder if some critters can inadvertantly open them from dry land slide wires or drowner cables.?
