So want some if y'all's opinions on this. Basically if no one is posting or trying to put info out that's kinda dying ( net making bullet casting , stuff like that) should somone who's not a expert on the matter try and put out info ? Like I there's videos I wanna make but since I don't know every aspect of the process in extreme detail or a kinda reverse engineered it I've been racking my brain pretty hard if I should try and put this info out.
I hear alot of people say "hay you should let the experts make these videos or talk about these things" but the problem is either alot if these guys are old and don't know how to really share this info in various ways or just plain don't wanna .
So with this being said should somone who isn't an expert try to share

I think you should. There is a big difference between not being an expert and someone who has no idea and still posts videos. Not being quite the expert will also be less intimidating for others to try ... for example net making.
As an example. When I was still working in the fishing industry, I was pretty good at fixing nets and it would have been hard to slow down in order to show someone how to do it. Same with the purse nets I made. I could knock one of those out in under 45 minutes while watching TV. That tends to be intimidating for someone who is new to it. I would think that it would encourage more folks to give it a go if they see it demonstrated by someone who is not as proficient at it and a little slower so they can pick up how its done.

So yes, go for it and inspire others.

The difference between an expert and a novice is that the expert has failed more times that the novice has even tried

Be humble about your knowledge and lack of it in video and be sure to share your intentions for making the video. I will say I struggle with trapping videos were the person tries to look like they know what they are doing when it's obvious they are a beginner. Now the ones that are beginners and approach there video from a beginners point of view are enjoy able to watch.

If I only talked about things I was an expert on, I wouldn't have much to say. I think when a teacher knows too much to still learn he will have distanced himself from anyone to teach.

Also, be clear about not quite understanding something if you don't. " This is what I do but if yall got better ideas or suggestions, please post away in comment section"...or similar is better than skirting the issue IMO. I've learned a lot from comment discussions. My videos would be me just rattle down my list of questions and ask someone to hold my hand and tell me how to do it in comments if it was on reloading. Comments are also good when the person don't know but acts like they do. Lol.

When you earnestly believe you can compensate for a lack of skill by doubling your efforts, there's no end to what you can't do.

If you mean you the answer is yes because you may not know it all but you put a slant on it that is always informative and interesting.

No such think as experts. Just people who have more experience in something than you do. Learn something new everyday.

Expert and experienced are sorta the same.
Take Zagger’s Pipe Dream Set. There are umpteen videos about it and how to do it on YouTube and very few that even come close to what the man perfected. I’d rather someone just come out and say, this is how I do it. This isn’t the only way and may not be the way the “manual” says to do it, but this method works for me. Unless you’ve perfected something or invented something, then don’t come across as it’s the right or only way. Just state it’s “your” way.
Have a buddy that did a video on using a Trumpet Call for turkeys. He straight up knows how to run one, but brought in some experts to share their expertise or experiences. And what was cool is the “experts” had their own way of running the call.

Please do this, wolfie.

Most importantly, as mentioned above, everyone's videos are unique to them, your own "slant", with your personality spicing it up, your own way of explaining , that can really help someone to understand , even with a smile.

A huge part of the fun of learning is not just technical information, but enjoying the person who is explaining , even with their own humor . People really like that.

My most favorite instructional videos are from those who put their personality into them, even fun comments what they're thinking along the way...even inserting some stories that go along with what they are showing in the moment.

As long as you state "this is what I know and what works for me" I'd say your good to go, If you figure out a shortcut or learn a different method you can amend your videos. We're all still learning if we pay attention and NOT think we know everything...

On any given subject everyone starts low on the learning curve and well presented basic material is as valuable as well presented expert material, it's just valuable to different people. The on-line audience is huge and includes folks of all different experience levels. So, present your experience without pretending to be an expert on what you are not and have at it.

Keep it up. You bring a unique perspective and an infectious attitude to your pursuits and hobbies. Nobody can fault you for that and I am sure plenty of folks appreciate the time and effort involved in putting that on video. You offer a lot to a wide range of people so full speed ahead!
