ARE you sure you crossed the wire on the lid switch. 99.9% of the time its that BUT the other .1 % it can be the timer failing to turn. Cut the wires ant twist them together if you didn't. IF it's the timer not moving pat the fill spot if you move it it will run just not go on in the cycle.

Or just move it out there will be a pile of black rubber under it.

I had problems with all kind of brands! From the advice from here, I bought a speed queen. Best money I ever spent.

Move the timer to "wash" and the motor should run. If it doesnt run, do the relays on the board have a push to test button on them? If so push the motor relay and the motor should run. If it runs that tells you either the timer is not energizing the relay, or the relay is bad, but the good news is the motor is good.

When this happened to me it was the timer - switched it out and it works great - if your timer is not advancing that’s the problem

I am not saying this will fix your problem but doesn’t take much to try. Have you unplugged it from the outlet and then after 30 seconds plug it back in? It could be as simple as needing a reset.

I would just love to buy a clothes washer that had 3 settings for water temp(cold warm, hot) 3 settings for amount of water(low, med, large) and 3 setting for cleaning cycles (delicate, permanent press, and heavy soiled).
