Anyone do it? I've thought about it. I hate the thought of leaving gear behind or misplacing it in the field. I think I lost a short body grip H stand this year, for example, and it aggrevates me. I think I can go back & find it. As for stablizers, I've even thought about welding a washer to them to possibly help me haul things & help ensure I don't leave anything behind. As for tBar, sometimes when ya set it on the bank or beaver lodge, they sure blend in with the sticks.

Anything that helps me pick something up I woulda left behind is worth it. I don't water trap hardly at all anymore but I went from painting tools and drags bright orange or putting orange duct tape on em to using scraps of the reflective tape left over from trailer jobs.

Trapsetters are the worst for leaving behind for me.

I don't paint for that reason but i do like to spray paint H stands so they're not a rusty mess while handling, that being said they're a rusty mess to handle right now cause i drag around doing things i need to do, lol.

Im pretty good at keeping up with setters, i use the sleepy creek kind so they are shiney and have a red handle which might be why i notice them more than the old rusty brown kind.

How about having the Tbars and Hstands powder coated a flat black? Never rust and will always be there if you don't loose them.

Real men don't use trap setters, BOCO !!

They set their traps, Belilse or not, bare-handed.

They don't use some sissy set of trap setters.

I use them to remove beaver.Lifting them out of the water by the trap pulls hair and get you a slt d grade.
I always take the trap off the beaver before lifting it out the water for that reason.
I have placed well at a few trap setting contests Just FYI.

I paint dip my stands along with traps for protection, something it’s time to do again.

I’ve painted the bottom of my stabilizers blue, silver, or yellow by size. It makes it easier to find, as long as the paint lasts and isn’t covered in mud.
