I don' wax but I paint so It's probably close to waxed traps.
Trying to set 300 NEW Duke 1 1/2s all day long Is one of the main reasons for weakening those springs. but when watched rats actually sit on top of the trap and not get caught was the other reason. And I still caught plenty of coon In those traps. Once the trap Is sprung the springs don't have much to do with holding power since the trap has locked up.

I bought 2dozen #2 wild river pans this winter but didn’t get a chance to set them. They seem a little to big.Any yays or nays on them? The #1 1/2 double post pans seem awesome.

6 different guys that use them in this post all must be wrong!!! I would make 7, but I am a bit biased!!!

I made the best pan for the most common mink and muskrat traps out there for my needs, because no one else made one that was right. Most of the trappers on this post bought 1 to 4 dozen pans to start. Used them a season and bought one for every 1.5 trap they run.

I'm biased to, for my intended use there is nothing out there better IMHO.I have no idea how many I have 250 300ish I'd say. I showed them to a buddy of mine on night when I was trapping southern MN, twenty minutes later we ordered him up 40 dozen.

Unlike common conception, it's not about increasing the kill zone although that doesn't hurt.

coonman, I'll make a deal with you, if my good buddy Mike doesn't show up at the convention selling pans, I'll cut you a heck of a deal on a dozen. So good you won't be able to pass it up.

If he does show up you'll have to buy them like everyone else, I won't take a sale away from Mike.

Ok I’m convinced. Fixing to drop some major change on wild river pans. I did look at them on their website and if you buy by the hundred there is a pretty good discount. Good thing cause I have 102 duke 1.5s and 102 Bridger #1 sure grip long springs arriving probably this week. There will be 6 dozen duke 110 magnums in there somewhere

Yes. The standard 1.5 pans will fit on any of the #1 or #11 longsprings that have a a bolt on pan.

As for conventions this summer, I don't have any solid plans on conventions I will be at. With a full time job, young family, and too many other irons in the fire...I wont have a solid plan before two weeks or so before the convention. But the NTA is the most likely convention I will make it to this summer to sell at, and if I am there I will be tailgating.

Fast forward to the end to see a #2 size single post. All of the single post pans work the same (just the pan size varies).
