Any chance that NAFA will come back to life with a different name ? I would not be surprised if somebody like their former employees went together and tried to restart the company under a different name. What do you think ? Marty

Would be good if someone did but costs are so high now it would be hard to do. I miss NAFA.

You may see a couple once the price of fur skyrockets in a few years.

NAFA had a fire sale and sold all the fur for nickels on the dollar, mink ranchers bought it themselves, stored it and and resold it and made the money on it later.

Then they loaned that money to the mink ranchers (themselves) didn't pay it back. The CEO retired with a big high fluten party, and a fat bank account, and then went bankrupt after the sale, keeping the trappers money, and fur, never to be seen again.

And you all pining for them . If they do come back they should be hung.

Trappers really are dumb.

There was one time since 2005 when I first started selling 2 North American Fur auction, that they had a fire sale and my raccoon averaged $6. Sounds good today! Besides that year I never had raccoon average less than $14 before 9% Commission. A few years at around $20 and two years at $40 averages. 08 and 13. And a couple of years with a huge commission rebate.. I don't know how they were doing it but no place else would offer me that kind of money. I tried gronewald and got $11 average. Same year I had over $15 average at North American. I wish they were back.

How they were doing it was............> trappers were supporting a ranch mink owned auction house over a trapper owned auction house.

I seen this done with oil companies! They don’t pay their vendors, go bankrupt, and come back after a few years when the oil prices go up!! A lot of times, same people, different company name! And they want credit, because they are a new company and under new management!! I just smile and say cash only!!

I can guarantee they swapped fur in those route pic ups .Never had a cross fox until I sold fur had 3 ,Alot of Good coyotes disappeared and big coon .
