Just scooped up a ringneck. At least it's technically venomous. Ringneck bite can kill a kingsnake, believe it or not.

Sorry guys, I’ll kill every snake I can. Ignorant and wrong, also illegal in many areas.

Hognose=Cobra when I was a kid Guy that works for me was grilling, said he felt something on his big toe and looked down to see a snake latched on. Said he about had a stroke until he realized it was a hognose. The older folks called them "spreading adders" when I was growing up OP I would catch those little snakes bare handed for 4 figures Bigger snakes I don't want to mess with much

I used to catch Dekay's snakes by the hundreds every summer, just to keep for a day or so and observe. They are a tame little snake and don't seem to mind handling at all. Apparently there are a fair amount of hog nose snakes here, but I have never seen one myself. Cool pictures, I was quite obsessed with reptiles and amphibians as a kid... everywhere I went I had a pail or an empty peanut butter jar for collecting "specimens" LOL and was wearing my black and red rubber boots in case I encountered a good crayfish/tadpole pond or ditch
Just happy to be here.
