I have been there a couple times, more along the lines of taking the wife out. Never fished there though, always been a freshwater guy.

This is the dry time in the Everglades and the Big Cyprus. Hundreds of miles of trails with out water and Mosquitos, campsites. Drive up Gulf shoreline check out fishing piers and see Manatees, drive way up to the panhandle and you are in Cajun country. Check out state parks and Islands. Camp on St George Island and fish the ocean. Camp grounds are usually filled but we put our name on a list and check back in, usually noshows and you get the spot.

I was at Sanibel Island last weekend. People were everywhere like a hive of bees. The traffic was horrible. Ft Meyers the week before was a lot of people.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

We are heading that way in a few weeks. Starting off in Islamorada in the Keys fishing for tuna and mahi mahi. After 5 days of fishing we will be making our way north to Sarasota for 5 days to spend some time with my father.

We used to go to FL every February. Stayed with the father in law who lived in North Fort Myers. He and I would go fishing out of Pine Island for sea trout. Great eating fish!
I used to do quite a bit of metal detecting around the causeway by Sanibel.

I don't care how nice the hand soap smells, you should never walk out of the restroom sniffing your fingers.

Headed to Boca Raton next month for a mahi fishing trip. Never been to Florida before, so I'm excited.

Where you from Hanger? I am in the Ocala area in the winter. This year, we head back to Montana in early May.
