I saw that HL has paraffin wax. I was thinking bees wax was the deal. Or used to be the bees knees anyway.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Ive used Hobby Lobby wax for years. No odor.
Why would anyone use beeswax. It has a floral/honey-type odor.

I use hobby lobby wax for making waxed dirt and waxing traps. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Why would anyone use beeswax. It has a floral/honey-type odor. I was taught to add a little beeswax to my trapping wax to "soften" the wax. When using straight paraffin the wax seems to be hard and chippy. Right wrong or indifferent that's the way I was taught and never had problems with fox or yote digging it up from smelling it

But I do leave my traps in wax until trap heats up...usually about 5 to 8 min.

Just ordered a bunch from hobby lobby, thanks for the tip! I miss their online 40% off coupon for wax but this works for me too. Will be making waxed dirt and waxing traps this summer. Jim

I've always been leary of it. How does that wax not stink like a Hobby Lobby store? About gags me to go in there with all the perfumes, oils, and other stinks the ladies like. But wax in a trapping supplies shop, with skunky lure odors floating around, won’t do the same?
