Your WI beaver will be bought per the pound under the hatter market, I assume. I sold 28 (dried) a couple weeks ago for alittle over a $10 average. Most were last spring beaver and a fair amount were smaller sized.

I have noticed that there is some interest in the western association sales for XL and above #1's and good 2's moving in the low to mid 20's. Not much interest in smaller or damage goods. Some of these craft buyers night get all they need with 30 to 40 pelts and then they're done.

You won't be getting any $15.00 nose counts when you sell by the pound.

Depends on how much dry meat you leave on the hides.

Just sold 21 carcass beaver for just over a 15 dollar average. All but 5 were caught right in front of my house in 3 sets one of them being a float. Caught 3 of them just this morning. They are on the move right now. Fun to watch them work the sets and to see one actually get caught.

Not a chance any buyer would let him do that Beav. I averaged right at $15.10 per beaver INCLUDING KITS on my castor this year.

I'd pay that in a heart beat up here. Sell the fur, sell the castor, sell the tail, and sell the body for bear bait or use it myself.
