I was curious, when you sun render Beaver tails or fish does it have to be done in a glass container or will a clear plastic container work? Thanks!!

I only make BTO and use colored 5 gal buckets, black, blue, green.
Clear will work but not any better IME.
Personally, I think the dark buckets absorb heat better, but I've not done a test to prove that theory.

I’ve always used glass jars with good luck . I’ve got a lot more tails this year and decided to use a black bucket and for the first time ever I’ve got mold . Maybe it’s the cooler temps we’ve had this year and maybe it won’t hurt anything but I just cut up a tail he other day and put it in glass .

I do beaver tails in gallon glass pickle jars. Fish in 5 gallon plastic buckets. Pure walleye fat in 1/2 gallon Mason jars
