Well gentleman ( term lousy used) after a spring using them killing spring calves killers . I am very impressed how they hold up ,, my set up is 3ft. of chain on the trap, 10 ft. Of chain on a OGorman drag. Holds them well . I bought them because both jaws are held down and zero dead spot of pan. I use 5or 6 lbs of pan tension is about prefect here to keep the fox out of them so far. Going to use them this fall in a couple places where wolves might come through keep a couple ranchers happy. Great trap imo. Red

I can't seem to be able to find anything on Harris traps? Where should I be looking? Other than a couple YouTube vids there isn’t much out there.

I certainly have not went through all that ,,, and I do not wax a trap either. But I can see waxing a trap might have a issue but so does a sterling if the wax is not off the trigger and dog of that trap also .

I’ve met Mike ( Seldom) , he is a retired machinist. You will not meet a nicer guy . Nor will you meet one as picky about anything mechanical. Mike is the guy you want to buy stuff from when he is done with it . He did have some interesting thoughts, we can agree or disagree with the opinion's. To me chain length is a very important aspect that really not stressed .a bit longer chain a critter is allowed to move get comfortable and not fight a trap as much ,and it might have been a swivel hooks up on the trigger using that setup maybe ???

Pretty much all traps should have the wax taken off the dog and pan notch, or the pan and jaw where it hooks on a dogless. I do it with the backside of a pocketknife blade as soon as they cool down after I take them out of the wax. Takes less than 10 seconds a trap.

Okay, actually watched the video (I seldom watch videos) and seen what he is talking about. That is not a 5-10 second process like it is on every other trap I have messed with. Exactly ,,, all pretty simple stuff. Like I said no problems with the trap yet been catching coyotes all spring with them.
