I can turn a 10 inch red pine log down to a 8 inch post on my dowel fence post mill. Anything bigger is set aside to be ground into landscape mulch, colored then sold bagged or bulk. Now I have hobby mill operators lined up to buy it. Also hot are my reject posts. A little bark on the 3 and 4 inch posts rejects them. I band up the rejects, 8, 10 and 12 footers 50 posts to a bundle $40 to $70 per bundle. I sell those fast, guys are using round wood for rafters and purlins in small out buildings and sheds.

Not quite, the cat converters are big business, Walmart parking lots are hotspots. Cordless sawzall, park next to a car, play radio loud and in a minute its cut off.

It doesn't seem to be a shortage. Lumberyards around here have plenty to sell at that price

Certain cat converters are almost $ 500.00 in scrap value, average $100.00 with some cheaper and many higher.

I don't know if you have ever cut cats off but it isn't as easy as you described. I cut them at the salvage yard where it is done on a hoist with a torch and sometimes a corded sawzall. A battery sawzall may make one cut per battery and that is if the blade lasts or doesn't bind. Also they must be only cutting trucks because you won't never get far enough under a car to work it.

Wish I had more time to trap....

West Branch Walmart, not to far from you is patrolled it got so bad, Crack and meth heads are quite skinny. Rifkin required current picture ID to sell them, now I think they only buy them them from shops if at all. But plenty of buyers on Facebook market place.

Take a drive through Minneapolis. You would be amazed at how much plywood is out there.

if you see me driving around with 3 sheets next week , just know that it is my new boat floor at 50 dollars a sheet

going to polyester resin glass it and paint it with a poly topside paint

by the time I get done with wood paint and fiberglass I will have doubled the cost of the boat.

however with having to remove about 32 structural rivets to get the floor in , I don't care to do this job twice

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
