On this Last April 2021 Fur Auction For those that had 1 pelt on 100’s are you able to see on the FHA website what every lot of fur sold for or just the lots that your own fur was on ? I see a buyer / seller can go back and see what prices for each lot of fur brought on the last 2020 FHA Auction. If not I wonder if and when they will post prices for lots auctioned ? . They might not post any prices to public till 100% of every lot is sold. Maybe will not happen till the end if 2021 ? Thanks. Marty

At some point in the future, maybe 3-4 weeks from now, FH will post a SOLD catalog for this sale. Everyone will be able to see what ever lot sold for.

That catalog will be posted along the sold catalogs for the past 8 years or so. Interesting reading if you are into that type of information.

Wissmess so as of now can a seller only see the Price of the lot that his pelt was in ( lets say a coon Pelt ) ?
Or Can the seller of at least 1 pelt ( let’s say a coon pelt ) See the hammer prices of every single lot offered in the whole auction catalog ? Just trying to figure our what are the rules for seller and buyers wanting to see what prices certain lots brought in the auction or does every one have to wait 3 or 4 weeks for a view at what lots sold for what price ? Thanks MD

At the present time, a seller can only see what the selling price is on lots that he has fur in. Those prices are shown in your online shipper account. If there are 200 lots of coon and you have pelts in 5 of those lots, you can only see those 5 lots.

Eventually FH will post the complete catalog with prices for all the lots that sold. The link will be posted on their web site and everyone - buyer, seller, the antis - can see all prices for all species. I think that usually takes a couple of weeks but I’m not sure.

Please note, I am NOT a FHA employee. I am a buyer and some times a seller. I post on these threads to help people understand how the auction works. So please don’t complain to me about why things are done they way they are done. smile

Wissmiss, have said similar before, if u did not tell us all the info. u do then I am not sure who would. Some of us try but most of us do not have the in depth knowledge u do.

Speaking of which where is Lee Steinmeyer. I think I have the name close - from Kansas or Nebraska? Lee said he was an FHA agent that might retire last year. He helped a lot with explaining things to people too.

Appreciate too that some people u respond to just want to argue n are just plain bone headed no matter how much u try.

FHA n trappers all owe u a debt of gratitude for all the explaining u do even though, as u say, u are not an FHA employee and just a person who has been around for a long while. Quite a great volunteer effort.

If the NTA has a Hall of Fame then u should be in it at some point. Don't have to pile up loads of furs to be a great contributor to our trade.

Nancy is a stand up person who has gone out of her way in many small ways to help individual trappers with questions and by sharing insights.

I have known her since she was a buyer at the OTC sales in late 70's and 80's and later when she helped Don run the sales in the 90's and later.

Wissmess... I understand you are not a employee of FHA and you have to be careful on how you respond to questions here. Some times responses to questions can cause bigger problems than the original questions as I have noticed over the last 30 days regarding FHA auctions.
I was Just wondering how FHA posts the final lot prices. I know prices are listed for past years auctions on their website. I can see that . FHA customer service is very busy right know and not able to answer questions. Just was wondering if I sold some wild fur On their auction if as a seller I would be able to see hammer prices earlier than the 4 weeks on all fur lots. I Thought some one might be able to answer my questions that have done some business with them. I have not bought fur through FTA Auctions. I have bought fur for 40 plus years with the Old Hudson Bay Co , NAFA , Seattle Fur Exchange , Vancouver fur auction , American legend. Also raised Ranch mink for about 10 years and sold through all of the above auction houses. All auctions are run a little differently.
As a possible customer of FHA just was wondering how their auction Works. Thanks for the info. MD
