I bought a cheap Bounty Hunter for finding traps that get drifted over it works for that and finds wire and fence clips in the process.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I have been running a Troy Shadow x2 for several years. It is a good detector but you need to use it a bunch and learn to know what the tones are telling you. It doesn't have a bunch of modes or any of the fancy stuff, it is just a good solid machine. I keep saying I am going to upgrade, but I find enough stuff with the Troy I just never have.

I have an Ace300, 2 AT Pros, A junker, and my Equanox 800.

Garrettt is indeed playing catch up right now and their Apex is from what I have heard, junk.

The Garrett machines just do not have a very good processor in them. until they get off of their butts and use better processors, I would suggest avoiding them.

The Nox is a great machine but it is not a beginner machine. I just came home about a half hour ago from running mine on a local road tear out.

I will join in.
A lawn company pulled my flags at a mole job.
I found a few, but 40 to go.
