matt OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 675 Webster County W.V	We got it done this morning. This is the boys first one of the year. Was cold and snowing, got on it right after fly down. Came in got to about 60 yards and the last 20 took what seemed like forever. It was so fun to watch him shake and gasp each time it gobbled. When it finally crossed the 40 yard line, I told him to take him. He smoked him, 20 ga TSS # 9 is awesome. 22 lbs, 10 1/4” beard and 1 1/4” Spurs. He then remembered this was his lucky turkey day. These come from some of the biggest timber patch’s around this area. Both were on the Mon national forest. Can hunt for days and not run across anyone. Live each day as if it were your last. We know not at which hour it will come. Life is too short.Tell your loved ones each day how much you love them

I’m 53 and can afford any gun I want, but I wouldn’t trade that little 20ga setup for anything. I’m seriously considering taking it to Mexico just so I’ll have a Royal with a 20ga. Only difference in ours is I topped mine with a FFIII.

Taught me most of what I know about life and Turkeys. Think he still gets as excited about it as the boy does. They were hot, come for a mile and put on a show.
