It actually might make sense for the sale to be postponed. They really need bidders IN Canada to make these sales work. Pretty certain the way things are going Canada won't be open by July.

With the Trump vaccines, and possibly some light at the end of the cofid tunnel, the hope is for loosening restrictions. So as for the upcoming June/July sale, it sounds like FHA is prepared to move it back to Aug etc if that means open borders and in person auction. Let's hope so and the sooner the better!

I heard they were prepared to do that too and Im glad it should mean improved prices.

Not saying they won't... Just feel like the shippers should be told aa soon as they make that decision.

Why should we find out from a buyer

The way I see it is. Theyre making money off us..so they owe it to us to tell us up front what the deal is with our fur.

We shouldn't have to find out through the grapevine.

.our agent last year said fur harvesters told him they didn't want any southern fur. Hes not an agent anymore.
We got a letter from fur harvesters telling us to ship it to wisconsin. We have too much fur. We could never afford the shipping

And..Heck they didnt even tell us what fur of ours they sold last time....they.just sent us a little check with no explanation

I know everyone that works there and those on the board-all trappers.
I will let you know what my director says.
I cannot work for them-I am a director on the OFMF board and our constitution forbids any director to work for any fur marketing entity.
