Boco, can you elaborate on the black spot? I haven’t seen that before either. I’ve seen small black spots but nothing to that extent.

I think it is some kind of fungus.
They showed one pelt like that on the NAFA beaver video.

Were the black spots there when you skinned? If not, when did they appear? Does it change when you wipe it? More questions than answers. If it is on the surface of the skin, spray on some WD40, and wipe down with a rag. I agree with Boco, it looks like a mold or fungus, but if it won't wipe off, I can't help. Never seen one like that in my 74 years.

Is there texture at all? Looks like skin pigmentation from here.
