They say to turn the can upside down and spray until no more paint comes out. But, if ya don't do that and it plugs up next time you want to use it............any awesome tips on how to get one unplugged again? Buy a new can???

I have had some luck using the wire portion off a twist tie that comes on a loaf of bread. I poke it into the plastic top's hole and work it around. Also running hot water on the plastic sometimes will open it up. The best is, like you said, holding the can upside down spraying until only air comes out.

Sometimes taking the white cap off a manipulating the tube repeatedly will get it going again. Soaking the can top In the appropriate solvent sometimes works too.

It's not the white tip that's plugged, but the dang can itself. Maybe heat it up hot with a cutting torch. You like to live dangerous don't you? I know a guy with a few stitches got by just walking by the burn barrel. I have saved the paint when the can was almost full by poking a hole in the bottom of the can over a big can, but is extremely messy and was not worth the second time.

One Christmas, my grandkids were over. One of them threw an empty aerosol can in my burnable paper trash. I threw the bag in my outdoor wood boiler. When I opened the door later to add some wood the can exploded and shot passed my head and travelled about 20 feet.

I have unplugged them before by removing the spray tip, turning the can upside down and setting it in a cup of paint thinner for a while - throw the spray tip in also. If it doesn’t unplug stick a pin in the can valve and work it a few times and put it back in the thinner. Rinse them both out good with some hot water afterwards. Good minds think alike. That's exactly what I did and unplugged three cans of spray paint! Problem solved. Another well job done!
