Well I'm out here looking for breaks so figured I bring y'all along,

Just checking to make sure most if the herd is in instead of out, eveyone is looking pretty healthy, good my new calves, kinda miss having 200 head though lol

[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Got to the start of this line and this is what it looks like about 50yd from he truck
[Linked Image]

Not much further in and we got a limbs on the line, smirk and all of this was pretty clean last spring but hay what can you do
[Linked Image]

Bout another 150 yd in and it's getting a little thick
[Linked Image]

Ole hog crawl under it seems
[Linked Image]

Finally found one of the cow trails that runs next to the fence line. Little less of a pain but still getting stuck and stabbed every few feet lol
[Linked Image]

Still following this trail and I'll tell y'all i feel like I should have a double rifle and two tribal trackers with me the way it looks back here sometimes laugh
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Well I'd say a good 3/4 of a mile back k think I found the break, not really a break honestly more of a hop over smirk look like one if the old mans "repairs"
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Hop over and sure enough not 10yd away cow tracks ,
[Linked Image]

Welp found the main problem now I gotta loop back around and get back to the truck. Left the saw at the break and start one my little one miler back

So figured I'd walk the back side of the fence and back around, if their getting out anywhere else I'll be able to see the busted out trail pretty easy since it's so thick
[Linked Image]

A hog tunnel as Aix would call it. Not a ton of track around though
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Figured I'd check one the little hideaway pond tucked back off on the hunting part of the property, might be half a mile from the break if that
[Linked Image]

Water weeds are taking over but still a beautiful lil pond, don't think anyone but me dad and mabye some of the hunter we allow know about it. Waters dang near crystal clear, saw a good many water snakes and fronts but honestly that's how I like my fishin holes grin
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
And this is what it looks like about 50yd from the bank, would drive right past it if you kept two the two tracks crazy
[Linked Image]

Figured I'd check one of the box stands to make sure a raccoon didnt make a den out of it....again, but nope just mahogany wasps, right a neck level smirk but our hunters left a little something just for the occasion lol
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Back through the pastures and I can tell we haven't bred out all the crazy 100%. Back when we had 200+ they would charge on the spot if they caught you out here on foot but now their pretty tame, most are big puppies but some of the old cows are still kinda wild and spooky, I'll let y'all guess which
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

MASK UP BTW not for covid just all the dagblasted flies ! Their not bad when your (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) off in the brush but the second you hop out in that pasture
mad
[Linked Image]

Back to the truck head back to the house to pick up the wire and tposts. And yes those are oyster shells lol

Nightmares of dad shoving a stick through a roll of wire and saying grab the other end and let's go. That and hauling cedar posts through the mess.

You know they got a tracked machine now that has a hydraulic post setter and four wire spools and an air stapler all in one. Just saw a video of one in action.

clearly you have this figured out on your own terms , however around here most people run the the brush hog around the perimeter once a year to keep all that vegetation down and make it so they can check the fence from the tractor

might be a couple time a year thing where nothing stops growing

You are missing something Wolfdog. I didn't see any of the wild lemon trees with the 4 inch spikes guarding the fruit. They aptly named them Dragons Claw.[Linked Image] Closest could find to one. These here make a hedge almost.

How are the black buzzards over that way? South of here they keep wide open pastures and the buzzards are bad on newborns.

Pulling out some wire for a new bottom strand.

And of course that china wire popped. After I hard lined it in smirk spliced in some good ole Merica' wire and gave it a few twists to get it taught again
[Linked Image]
Got her all clipped in and done ! Not too bad for a batch job I reckon lol grin
