I bought a new dodge pickup in 2008. The other day I bought a new jeep pickup. Tags on the new dodge were 400 bucks. 13 years later tags for the new jeep were 800 bucks. That aint China's fault

We had a chance to make it happen. Now it never will. By the way, how many companies right here in the states are owned by China. More than you think. So even buying in America sometimes is profiting china.

So start a thread about your state ripping you off on your vehicle plates. Buying vehicles is a choice you make. Catching Covid 19, Is not something many choose to do. Vehicle plates in Michigan for my wife's new vehicle and my new truck are about $400 for the pair. And I still think China should pay the world for Covid 19....

Just reported China purchased "additional" infrastructure assets in Great Britain totaling 168 billion US dollars. The CCP was the major purchaser.
They are systematically purchasing the world as the world shops their goods produced by workers making pennies.

our government shut down our economy and stopped the slow return of u.s. manufacturing. had nothing to do with the chinese flu. its been blown so far out of proportion, constant media exaggeration, till people believe the lies.

I hear you, and that's quite fine. Yes we are being lied to, but Covid still came from China. My new vehicles didn't come with payments. so plate costs didn't matter. Hope you have cheaper insurance rates than Michigan even though you're getting hosed in plate fees.

The point I was making is we are being gouged. Lied to and stole from. By our own government. don't blame China. OUR government put in all the craziness that is taking our tax money. From shutting down business, and increasing unemployment, to stimulous checks and ending up with all the money they sent to foreign countries.

This Chinese flu is no worse than other flu strains we did not shut the country down over. Most of the early deaths were caused by ventilators. Not the virus. Over reaction and propaganda. Again, that aint China's fault. I dont believe the virus is man made.

I think Covid-19 was just the catalyst at a point in time when any catalyst would have burst upon the American stage and shown us how ill prepared we are as a government, scientific field, and society to wage collaborative war against any catalyst. We in America have grown soft in the 80 years post WWII that has seen our country grow in all measures of wealth production as none has ever expanded before, and that wealth production and creation hasn't created a system that could handle a virus. A virus. Our answer to a virus was measures any 3rd world country could use; masks, keep a distance, shut down. That's what 80 years of wealth production in the greatest nation on earth got us. The same that all other nations have done. With one exception. A vaccine. Done quickly and it seems that this vaccine is not yet understood by the governing body OR it would be approved for use with full labeling reflecting that notice. It's not.

So the vaccine emergency use designation, for me, doesn't mean the vaccine is scary. It's just means this country, like all countries, is just another country. No better. No worse.
When I put that jacket on, it feels funny.

American nationalism and its vision as such is what many of us grew up with.
Our kids and grandkids will not know that vision.
We'll pray that ends well.
