I hope so to for both y’all’s sake! Post the video if you get it on YouTube. Love others success! Heck I just like watching turkeys die whether I’m pulling the trigger or just a part of the hunt!!

Only been turkey hunting twice...maybe 3rd time's the charm.
Been watching the hunting public on youtube for 2 weeks now so the wife is already sick of turkey hunting LOL

Matt Dale (Dale Outdoors) does a better job of actual instruction on youtube than THP or Dave Owens, IMO. Maybe check him out if you are learning.

I think I’m heading into my 32nd yr of chasing longbeards...and I’m ready. I got crazy this year and added an XF choke and a red dot reflex sight from Swampfox to the “meat stick”....actually pretty silly to add them when you can’t recall the last bird shot over 30yrds. LOL.

I put a FFIII on my gun a few years ago and love it. This is only my 11th season, but I’m obsessed. I STILL have to remind myself to breath and keep my head down!! Luckily I’m a lot better with a reflex sight! Turkeys just tear me up inside, so much so I can’t even remember to breathe, lol!!

Thankful to be able to hunt the deep south as it's another 6 weeks before my WV season.

Trash your goals and plans for life. Just wing it and you'll never be let down!

My very first Osceola killed 03/10/15 on a quota hunt down South.

My buddy and I were hunting two different areas and he had to drop me off at 0330 so I could make the 2.7 miles hike back to where this bird had roosted. I was watching the bird on the limb of a big pine by 0515. I got to watch him wake up and stretch when some hogs came through real early, then he hunkered back down to sleep. Just as the sky was beginning to turn pink he started stirring again and would go in and out of strut long before he ever let out his first gobble on the morning. As it got lighter and the gobbling intensified he started limb hopping down a limb every few gobbles. Once the hens behind me started talking he took his last flight from that tall pine...the rest is a whole other story.

I think I will like the sight. Small, light, quick.

If you ever lose the quick breathing, high heart rate, non-functioning brain.....I'd give it up. LOL.

I have been back from SD for a week now and figured I should post an update. It was definetly early and the toms stuck with the hens all day. I'm not good enough to compete with real hens so it made it tough. Only called in 1 bird to shooting range and that was when I had no tag and was just exploring the prairie. The black hills are a great place to be and I will be back for sure. I will post a link to another forum that goes a little more in depth on our hunt.

Honestly, shot gunning birds is just too easy. Three came in, two stayed. Could've easily taken the third, but carrying two with the shotgun was enough, and let the other go for another day. No dekes, 2 3/4" - #6.

Told my wife last Saturday that I was going to hunt Sunday morning if I could get out of bed early. I rolled out of the house about 930 lol. I first checked a corner of a corn field where I’d seen him hanging out mid mornings. No sign so I went to an acre clearing in the middle of the woods where they like to feed and scratch around. Walked down a deer trail through extremely thick brush that leads to the clearing. I could see him feeding about 30 yds away. I crawled to the edge of the brush when he must of caught my movement. I was setup ready to shoot, I guess he thought I was a hen and headed my way. He finally stopped at 6 yards. He filled up the scope at that range. He only Ran off a few yards and piled up. 4” beard max, 30 minute hunt without decoys or calling, fastest hunt I’ve ever been on

Took my son yesterday. Put my foot down inches from a water moccasin. My son pointed it out, as I never even saw it. Spooked a tom that flew right over us and heard a hen, but no luck.
