My neighbor did that last year and loved the arrangement. I liked it because he purchased a lot more campfire wood from me.

I have mine parked behind the boat and its plugged in. So I only have to walk 100 feet or so and I am out in the woods in the middle of nowhere camping. Then go back to the boat for dinner. grin

PS. Saves a lot of gas

Seasonal camping is pretty common. The campground becomes sort of a "summer home". Some of the set ups are pretty elaborate, to the point some build permanent structures around the campers as protection. I can certainly see the appeal. We still like to try different camp grounds, but as the kids get older seasonal might make more sense.

Maybe I'm the odd man out but don't see the point? Is it really camping with all modern convenience, in crowded campgrounds with neighbors as close as a trailer parks?

Maybe if I lived in town and not where people come to camp on my farm I would understand it. But camp grounds aren't cheap and it's a lot of work and expense to pull a camper around . I generally will just stay in a hotel or resort. I must be pretty dense and missing something because it sure seem popular. What am I missing?

I have stayed in campers over the summer in camp grounds and hated it. RV life is not for me. I have stayed in a tent for four months and enjoyed it. It was a different location.
