Making me hungry!
Gumbo is one of my favorites. Mine too may not be 100% traditional when I'm done but will taste ok.

The question is, okra or no okra? I much rather have it than not, but I sure won’t let not having it stop me. In my opinion, having a little bit of a lot of things is what makes it for me. A little chicken, Tasso, A few frog legs, a little sausage, and whatever other smoked meats make it in.... a little hot sauce, a little okra, a little Worcestershire sauce, and broth instead of water.... mmm Yes, I love potato salad with it but sweet potatos are great too. For my gumbo, I want EGGS. Not boiled, peeled and dropped either. Crack em and drop em in. Man, I’m cooking gumbo this week. It’s been a while

I'm also either or on okra but if it's without it better be good as I like okra any way you fix it. Me too. Smothered, pickled, boiled, in a dish, I’ll take okra anyway it’s offered.

The question is, okra or no okra? And potato salad isn't even open for discussion. Definitely okra and file powder. Never tried potato salad other then on the side may have to make some tomorrow.

That looks Delicious....use to make jambalaya...was always a hit. But it’s made by a Yankee....so it’s probably not up to snuff with the Cajun folks
