They make a gizmo that oil filter salesman/competitors buy. It is a thing that opens up oil filters like a can opener. Neat tool , but easier now to see Youtube vids of opened oil filters.
Lots of different construction/quality out there. Check out some vids.

Everybody hates Fram, dad ran them for 250,000 on an 83 caprice and 175,000 on a 78 lemans.
I use ac Delco cause I get them at employee price. I ran them for 300,000 miles on 2 toyotas changed every 3000 miles but thats 20 yrs ago. Maybe they were better?

Napa Gold and Wix for me, they are the same. All my years in the mechanical and construction side golf courses. Cutting untold number of filters open along with feedback from my peers has convinced me. Now onto heavy equipment I still like Wix, but Baldwin filters are common and high quality, with wider coverage. High quality lube oil is far more important to me. Now onto Hydraulic filters, I only use OEM spec filters. designed and engineered for the application. I could buy a great lunch with a quarter for each "will fit" hydro filter I have seen ballooned or split from the threaded base. Valvoline Crimson # 2 grease, in case any wondered. Line boring heavy equipment is expensive....
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

Ac Delco or wix, but I have run gram filters before. I run synthetic oil now and can't go wrong with Ac Delco. Our car is proof of that 200,000 miles an going strong. With Mobil 1 and AC Delco filters. Price of cars an trucks this day and age, who wants to melt A engine down with cheap filter an oil.
Let me sugar coat this

AC Delco. Mobile 1 , Wix and Nappa gold are all good filters. I tend to use Wix as that is what they sell locally
Let's go Brandon

Beta ratio is the efficiency the filter, it is available from manufacture of the filter. The higher the beta ratio the more efficient the filter is at removing debris from oil system. Wix are good, but there are some that are much better. Amsoil has the best beta ratio I have seen but others may be better.
GUK.....it's the sound they make when they hit the end of the cable
