I received an email about a problem someone is having. Here is part of the email. If you're interested, PM me for contact info.

I am reaching out to your group to see if you can give me some names/contacts for muskrat and beaver trappers who would be interested in trapping a large infestation of these critters near Columbia, MO. We have a 20 acre lake we recently purchased that is being over run by them.

Problem is that MO water trapping laws are stupid, I wish them the best of luck!

Please explain there sir.
Our regulations when it comes to water trapping are very liberal.
I’d like to hear some examples of Missouri’s “stupid “ water trapping laws.

But not all water.....only if it is a 3 dot stream. Now the critters that most folks think of as furbearers......Missouri has pretty good laws about trapping them. grin

No exposed bgs. Forgive me I shouldn't have chimed in, as I am mostly ignorant on the issue. I've just read others complaining before.

Keith,
Clue me in on this.
What’s a 3 dot stream?
What permits are required from USACE?
All news to me.

DOT3 = Dept of Transportation Land along a navigable waterway, ie: Mississippi/Missouri Rivers that is owned/controlled by the Army Corps of Engineers, but I have never heard of a special permit required to trap. But, The State of Mo requires a special use permit on land they Admin.
