I remember seeing some ideas on here how to plug the drain hole on fiber tuff pack baskets but can't find them. I am tired of getting a wet rear end and am going to fix it somehow. Have any of you found a good method?

What about a drain plug for a boat? That way you could remove it if you want to

I taped a paint stick on the outside of the hole and then from the inside filled the hole in with hot glue. After it dried hard I removed the paint stick from the outside. It’s been that way for about 10 yrs now with no issues.

I used a bolt and nut along with a couple of fender washers and a couple O-rings. Then I drilled a weep hole in the rear of the basket. Why on earth they thought the original hole would be a good location . It is perfect for wearing hip boots.....

I covered one side of the hole with masking tape, then filled it in with a two part epoxy. After it dried, removed the masking tape.

I used fender washers and two pieces of inner tube for gaskets. I think it will work. Probably not as neat as epoxy or hot glue but it was a quick fix.

The tubes of clear elastomeric work good for anything like this. One of the kayaks lost a scupper plug and I never have bothered to find a new one
