Still looking for a 20 gauge O/U. Anyone have a CZ or an opinion on another brand of O/U in the $1,000 range?

I have Sharptail, I know it's SxS, it handles real nice, I'm impressed with it. Never shot their O/U's but have handled them and they feel very good to me. I have a Red Label that I really like too, I know you'd be talking used, not sure what a decent shape 20 would run but it would be worth checking out.

Which TriStar? I was looking for a Trinity 28 gauge, but not having much luck finding one. I have found a few CZ 20 gauges, however. The reviews on the CZ seem to be pretty good, compared to most of the other "entry level" O/U guns. I want to shoot trap with the 20, so it will get a lot of use. If it were for a hunting gun only, I wouldn't be too concerned. I would mostly use the 28 for grouse and such.

Check CDNN. They sometimes have some really good deals on o/u shotguns. Bought two Belgium made Winchester for a little over $850.

I’ll have to look at which model. Someone was needing money and offered it for $200. I figured what the heck, always wanted a little 20 O/U.
**Always keep about $300-400 cash hid in your wallet for when these deals pop up. They don’t last long.**

I have the CZ "teal", 12 ga O/U. Great gun. Would easily mistake it for a more expensive model. I'd buy a CZ shotgun again without hesitation.

You can get a used Browning Citori for that and it'll last 10X longer. When I was at the shop, the low-end Turkish shotguns were always giving us problems. You won't find many used guns around, these days. And if you do, it will be closer to $1500. I looked at a number of Browning O/U shotguns and all of them felt like they would make a better club than a firearm. For the record, I have a Browning BPS pump that I love.

I have a Browning BPS I bought used... well used with plenty dings/scratches... But it points like it was made for me and the action is smooth as glass. IIRC, I paid a whopping $185 for it. Still have yet to shoot it so I don't know how well it shoots. But I figure with the current demand I could probably get my money back, maybe even a little extra , if I decide I don't like it. Mike

There are a few available. Sportsman's Warehouse and Palmetto State have the 20 gauge available for under $900. Midway has it, too, along with a couple others. I just wanted to hold one before I drop dang near $1,000 on one.
