Can't tell ya how many times when we sold retail over the 30 years we'd get calls to see if we got someone's order shipped yet and we'd tell them if they sent us an envelope in the USPS system, we'd be more than happy to ship it....

just as soon as we get it!
You understand that people always call when it's already been a "while" and they wonder what their order status may be?

Online: BAM >>> out the door today.

Tiss the 21st century.
We will not return to the days of old. They've been buried.

well I will give you the same advice I give the kids , as I hand them a little note book

write all your user names and passwords in here and then put it in a safe place.

you write down the password in the book first then type it in , that way it is as it was on the page.

and not the way you tried to remember it a few minutes later

if you might have difficulty reading your writing , underline anything you capitalize and use open top 4 so they don't look like a 9

remember at least 8 characters , with a number ,a capitol and special character. short phrases can make good passwords easier to remember and most will let you got 32 or 64 characters now some may even allow 128

a bank password might be SH0MeThe$$$ (that o is a zero if I was writing that in the note book I would cross the zero so that I knew it was the number and not the letter)

places save money and need fewer employees to open mail , deposit checks , run batches , my wife spent her whole day for 6 years working for the co-op processing checks and taking phone orders , running batches , balancing batches , they went to online billing , and closed her office and laid her off last spring. people in town hate it but the people who came in to drop off their bills were getting to be fewer and fewer because they were having a funeral about every month for one of the regulars who dropped off their check

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I write two checks per year for life insurance. I would pay that electronically if I could. Never use cash either

I am not critical of any of you who like to do things that way. And i do remember how to log on to Trapperman (my only social media). Why, I even remember my password. The boss assigned me a trapping related password one time after I had forgot my chosen one. So I never forget it! grin

i don't pay anything electronically except our sales tax to the state. I don't trust much of anything I can't control myself. We use our PayPal system for any online purchases. Every business wants access to your banking information it seems now a days. If they can't mail me an invoice I don't really need that service that much. All this will eventually put lots of folks out of work.

I live in an HOA-run senior condo complex. We have 192 units I think. The board has trouble collecting from about three members who are not on bank drafts and nearly always late. I have suggested we raise our HOA dues $10 per month and then give a $10 per month credit for using bank draft. We spend time and money collecting from the habitual late payers, plus the secretary must travel to the bank to make a deposit.

One man fears the bank will be able to spy on him.

I was at the bank one day and the teller was explaining to me how it would be so easy for me to do the transaction online. I told her I have to drive right past the bank everyday anyway and I thought I was helping her out, if everything was done online she wouldn't have a job. She got a dumbfounded look on her face and didn't say anything else. Although I do like the auto withdrawals for the monthly payments.
