Looking at getting a nice over under, what's everyone choice? Wanting to get back into skeet and maybe sporting clays.

I love my Beretta Silver Pigeon in 20 ga.

I don't think you can beat an Italian shotgun for reliability.........at least when compared to any American made gun.

My boss bought me a Silver Pigeon for my 50th birthday. 12 gauge. I use it mostly for pheasant hunting.

I have a CSMC Revelation 20 gauge and I love it and also a Beretta Silver pigeon is a good choice.

I use an old Weatherby Orion here. Just get tired carrying it because it is heavy.

Just over 30+ years ago I was on the way to buy a browning citori when an add came on the radio for $300 over invoice on new GMC trucks. Dad suggested pulling in the lot. Bought the truck and never got the shot gun. No its tie to fill that empty space in the gun safe

I've been using a new winchester 101 for the last few years. I'd put it right up there with the Citori's. I love it.

I too have a Beretta, M. S686, 20-gauge, with engraving in silver. May be one of the "Silver Pidgeons" they're talking about.

Sweetest little shotgun I've ever held.

Ok how about used vs new or older used better or worse the new production? I really just want that sweet feeling shotgun, maybe 26 or 28 inch barrels. 12 or 20 ok one of each eventually lol

If you're planning on Sporting Clays, Skeet, or Trap shooting, and unless you feel skilled enough to be competitive in those choices with a 20 ga, start with a 12.

At one time I was competitive but years and old eyes I doubt it anymore. Love skeet shooting , hate trap and have only tired sporting Clay's a couple of times

I have several, a 20/28 two barrel set, a 28" 28ga, a pair of 32" 12ga, and a 30" 20ga. I don't remember what the first 2 cost me but the last 2 cost $1998.00 including tax each. The first 12 was right around $1700.00 several years ago. Got the last 12 and 20 in the last year or so. I hunt with the first 2 and shoot skeet and sporting with the last 2. I use the first 12 for International Trap (Bunker). I'm really a Winchester Model 12 guy but have to admit the Silver Pigeon's are real work horses with excellent handling qualities. I do find myself using the Silver Pigeons a lot more than the Winchesters which haven't been out of the safe in a year or so other than a once a month 50 target 16 yard trap league.
