Anybody ever use the stuff?

I've dug some out of my no man's land little piece of land before and tried to sell on ebay before after drying it, but no takers. There are people who do buy the stuff, but I think they dig it when its younger and then sliced up the roots with a carrot peeler before it dries, mine end up drying as little cross-cut stick wedges-- hard stuff when its dried. I just got finished mowing my perimeter and I see a bunch of it growing down there.

"Many different kinds of “Dock” exist and though some have similar properties, identification of the proper material is important. This particular plant has narrow leaves (Rumex translated from the Latin means Lanced) , which are usually curly (crispus) at the edges, vary in size and are not found in great numbers higher up the stem of the plant. The Navajo used the whole plant as an emetic before ceremony to clear and cleanse the system in order to prepare the body for healing and spiritual ritual."

Yellow dock root is cooling, sour, drying, cleansing, a laxative, and bitter. Yellow dock is indicated for cases of overactive digestion, excessive appetite, excessive hydrochloric acid with reflux and burning, and an overabundance of saliva.

If ya want to able to crap thru a screen door without touching it, then this is the stuff. I haven't had any for 4 or 5 years. This week we had poke and its affect is about the same. If you pass gas you do it very carefully !

Interesting point Foxpaw!! They do say its a laxative, hahahaha! But for people who only take a deuce once a week, maybe a little yellow dock root tea in between that schedule would be good
